The Last Starfighter Gunstar

Post by TraderDan »

You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada! The following link is a mod to change the Evoch military fighter external model to that of the Rylan Gunstar One from 1984's 'The Last Starfighter' I'm working on a cockpit for this ship as well and i'll make an announcement when it is ready. I haven't had a chance to test it myself yet but everything should work ok. If you have any questions or run into any issues please let me know. Good Luck and may the Seven Pillars of Gooloo protect you at all times!

In other "interstellar news" still working on my "no time for caution docking simulator"

With some gymnastics I was able to combine multiple three.js files into a single dae, then convert the whole thing as .obj
and i'll just leave this here... https://mega.nz/file/pSAxUCxZ#6mFGUAn-A ... 8Cj3sf2zDE

Is there supposed to be an actual image where it says "image" and, if so, Firefox is not all it's cracked up to be?

I suspect discord images only last for a brief window of time.

I think I posted that video when it was about 90 percent complete (had to squeeze in a bit more detail ;-)

That's gotta be the best model I've seen of the Gunstar. Do you plan on doing an interior? I don't recall how much interior was shown in the movie but, I gotta say, the exterior is impressive. And it should work great using this game as a platform. Especially since you can write your own scripts to fit the Last Starfighter story line.

It's nearing completion, I'm juggling between finishing my Oberth transport capital ship along with the cockpit, I'm also working recreating the endurance from the movie interstellar.

I post regular daily updates on the Evochron discord server just because of how fast it is to use you should check it out :-)

I've checked. Lots of pix but the quickie you posted on Youtube was the easiest to view. It sounds like you're working on many projects at one time. Multitasking. I've probably seen Interstellar but I'd need to see it again to refresh my memory. The last Starfighter seems to be the easiest (less complicated story line) for a complete re-worked computer game.

Once the assets are done I'd like create quests based on them, for example the Gunstar has a mission where you have to destroy a Ko-Dan command ship. The endurance would have a mission where you dock with a station in decaying orbit etc
