I've been trying to export a .X file to use in EL, but no matter which program I use, I get the dreaded 103 Error. It's a single mesh, and I've tried different programs (blender, truespace) to export it. I've read about Metaseq, but I can't export without buying it (hey, I'm broke). No matter what I do, I get the error. It will show up in the Pilot select screen (I replaced the Talon model), but when I choose a pilot I get the 103 error.
What do y'all use for import/export/modding? Yes, I said y'all...I'm from Tennessee.
Metaseq LE is free and you can easly convert your files to *.X extension.

Looks like your model has sub-meshes applied. Error 103 is a limb conflict error, it usually means the game can't apply sub-structures/meshes to an object that it needs to. The game builds a lot of things in code, so it needs to be able to add and manipulate additional structures to a model. If you save your model as a 'single mesh', it should load and work fine (and you should see sub-structures correctly applied if the orientation is correct, such as the engine).
For reference, error 103 means the object has more than one 'limb' and the game can't assemble additional components on the object in memory since the limb slots are already being used. So all you'll need to do is make sure to save it as a single mesh.
